# Notifications & Email

> Control what Mumtalakat emails you: six category switches, the weekly digest, and the deal-critical notifications that always reach you.

Every event on Mumtalakat has two channels: the **notification bell** inside the platform, and **email**. The bell always records everything; you control what gets emailed.

## Where to set them

Go to **Settings → Preferences**, whether you are a buyer or a project owner. The same page also holds **language**, **theme (light/dark)** and **notification sound** — the sound is a per-device setting only.

## Email switches

| Switch             | Controls                                               |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Projects           | Your project’s status, review, and publication updates |
| Document requests  | Requests for a document or extra data                  |
| Interests & offers | Interest requests and offer movement                   |
| Deals & contracts  | Contract stages, signing, and payment                  |
| Meetings           | Booking requests, confirmations, and reminders         |
| Reminders & alerts | Follow-up reminders and pending tasks                  |

Above them sits the **weekly digest** switch — a single email gathering what you missed during the week, sent to paid subscriptions.

  Turning a switch off stops **email only**; the notification still appears in the bell so nothing is lost.

## Notifications that always reach you

Some events touch the deal itself, so their emails cannot be switched off whatever your settings:

* An offer accepted or rejected, and the buyer’s confirmation of a final offer.
* An offer expiring, or its confirmation window expiring.
* A request for contract data.
* A [smart alert](/en/buyers/saved-alerts) matching a new project — to stop these, pause the alert itself.

## Separate settings for the private quote page

If you use **Private Deals** (a branded quote page you send to your client), it has its own notification list where you can mute what you do not need: quote viewed, accepted, declined, a question on it, a quote expiring, follow-up reminders, and a stalled deal.
