# NDA & Gradual Disclosure for Buyers on Mumtalakat

> The NDA and gradual disclosure explained for buyers: what it protects, why verification is required to sign, what's revealed after signing, and set-price vs. by-agreement.

Many listings reveal their full details gradually. This page explains the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and gradual disclosure from the buyer's side: what you're agreeing to, why you must verify first, and what you gain access to.

## What the NDA is and protects

The NDA is a binding agreement to keep the seller's confidential information private — financials, documents, identity, and any detail the owner has gated. Sellers rely on it to share sensitive data safely with serious buyers only.

## Why you must verify your account first

<Warning>
  You **cannot sign the NDA until your account is verified** (identity/KYC). Verification is a technical prerequisite, and your identity is bound to the signature — this is what makes the NDA meaningful and protects the seller. See [Account & verification](/en/start/account-verification).
</Warning>

## What's revealed after signing

Once you sign, the content the owner gated becomes visible — which may include:

* The asking price (if it was hidden).
* The brochure / deck.
* The teaser video.
* Sensitive data (revenue, exact location, and more).

## “After signing the NDA” vs. “By agreement”

<Note>
  These two labels mean different things:

  * **“After signing the NDA”**: a **set price** exists but is hidden until you sign.
  * **“By agreement”**: **no price was set** — it will be built through negotiation.
</Note>

## Your obligations after signing

Signing is binding. You agree not to share the seller's confidential information, and — like all activity on Mumtalakat — to keep communication on-platform.
